What happened to spring?

I adore springtime. It’s an easing away from the cold of winter and into the humid heat of summer. At least, I’ve always lived in placed where the heat is humid. This year, DC seems to have skipped from winter straight into summer. I am not amused. This winter was mild overall, but I was getting tired of the decidedly chilly air. I did not want to dive straight from February weather to July weather, however! The warm breeze in the evenings did make for a lovely time with friends old and new I hung out with during the end-of-conference-day festivities the last few days. I’m sad to see them go, but I am looking forward to jumping back into the world of novel A. I’ve got a week left before my deadline and a little over half the book to revise!
