I hope all of the moms receiving this had a wonderful Mother's
Day! My siblings and I sent our mom on an architectural boat tour
with our dad. Considering she's told us numerous times that going
out for brunch at a restaurant on Mother's Day is one of her definitions
of hell, we figured the boat tour an acceptable alternative :) She
commended us on our thoughtfulness.
As I'm writing this, I'm watching the results show for Dancing
with the Stars. I've barely watched this all season, but I am *quite*
happy to see that Joey Fatone and his partner are one of the finalist
pairs. He's a cutie, and I loved him in "My Big, Fat Greek
Wedding".
I'm hard at work writing my story that is a part of the Deliciously
Naughty Writers group project. I'm hoping to have most of it done
by the time the next newsletter rolls around. If you're intersted
in keeping track of how I'm doing, watch my blog for update posts.
Until next time!
Engagingly yours,
Kelly
A servant of the Ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor for four millennia,
Akhet-en's continued survival depends on his rescuing an ancient
set of papyri from pre-eminent Egyptologist, Dr. Eloisa Brown.
Eloisa figures a one night stand with a hot hunk is just one more
step on the road to recovery from a crushing divorce. She just doesn't
expect him to be as old as the antiquities studies.

4 Kisses from Romance
Divas
Ms. Maher has created an engaging premise and built a credible story around it. The passion between her hero and heroine melts the page, but it is her portrayal of the dual aspects of both the Lioness of War, Sekhmet and the Egyptian Goddess of Love, Hathor, that make the tale truly inspired. With touches of humor, and plenty of action, this is a great little story for a cold winter night.
In
a world where the good guys work in the shadows, Vie fights the
attraction she feels for her compatriot, Bolt. Bolt's done waiting
and is ready to claim his woman. Only, an enemy from the past isn't
ready to die.

3 Stars from Romantic
Times
Maher has created a fascinating world of gods, creatures of the night and mortals with psychic powers. Fast paced with explicit sex scenes, this story draws one in quickly and ends much too soon.

I *really need to proof my newsletter a little better :) As you
may have figured out, last month's book was a paranormal anthology
and *not* a historical mystery. This month's book is an intriguing
mix of eroticism and pathos.
Broken

- Sadie sits on a bench every month and becomes a new woman. Joe
tells his stories of women won and conquered, drawing Sadie into
an elaborate fantasy life. She's not really cheating on her quadrapelegic
husband...is she?
I'm
not much of an "art" girl, but I love my glass pieces, photograhs
and other objets d'art. Painting and other prints aren't something
I'm usually drawn to. There are always exceptions, though. My favorite
art period is Art Nouveau. And my favorite artist of that period is
Alphonse Maria Mucha. Here are some web resources on him:
