NEWS

Wow. Just, wow. One of my stories is now available in print format. I'm still waiting to get my hands on my author copies, but I'm positive the rush of seeing my name imprinted on paper with ink will be just as grand as when I saw my first byline as a high school yearbook staff writer. It took me another five or so years after that to find my calling of writing fiction, but I was already addicted to that rush of seeing my name in print. I love the freedom of story I've found in the realm of electronic publishing, but I'm also the first one to acknowledge the sensual experience of holding a book and smelling the paper and ink. I hope, if you were just waiting for Coming Together: For the Cure to come out in print, you'll rush out now to purchase your very own copy, as well as copies for anyone you think would appreciate it. I was raised that it was crass to talk about money (sadly, that lesson rarely stuck), but I will ask you, if at all possible, to make your purchases of CT:FtC through the Phaze website as a greater amount of money will then go to the Susan G. Komen Fund. Thank you all for your support of this anthology and helping to raise money for research into this pervasive disease.

In other news, I'm feverishly working on my next novellette. Okay. I only have two manuscript pages written, but I promise you, they are sizzling! Don't let the projected length fool you, though. As soon as I finish writing this story, I plan on writing the story of the heroine's sister as both stories will be occuring at the same time. I'm hoping they'll get picked up for Ellora's Cave's Jewels of the Nile series, but I've got to write them first! Luckily, I do have a little bit of time before they're due in. I say luckily because even though I can write fast when the situation demands it, I wrote out my "to do" list for the rest of this month, and I'm feeling just a tad overwhelmed. Resolution for 2008: don't take on so many extracurricular projects!! Speaking of that "to do" list, I must finish this up and move on to the next project :)

Engagingly yours,
Kelly

4 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews

The Man From HATHOR is an intriguing tale, well written and lively. I especially enjoyed experiencing the different locations. Everything was described so vividly I had no trouble recognizing ancient Egypt and the ceremony was also filled with many scintillating details.

3 Stars from Romantic Times

Maher has created a fascinating world of gods, creatures of the night and mortals with psychic powers. Fast paced with explicit sex scenes, this story draws one in quickly and ends much too soon.

READING RECS

Die for Me by Karen Rose - I've found a new author! Rose's latest was my first introduction to her work. I got suckered with Sophie Johannsen's profession of archaeology. Even more so, she is pulled in to help excavate a potential grave site the police have uncovered. Yeah, the forensic anthropology background rearing its ugly head. This is a tightly written story that keeps the romance developing between Sophie and Detective Vito Ciccotelli and the uncovering of layer upon layer of the serial killer's life moving.

SPECIAL FEATURE
